Small Business Assistance

Small businesses are a critical part of our nation’s economy and vitality.  The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) is committed to providing opportunities to small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns.  Below is information to assist small businesses seeking to partner with FirstNet.

Getting Started

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization is an advocacy and advisory office responsible for promoting the use of small businesses within the U.S. Department of Commerce's acquisition processes.  This website provides valuable information to assist in your marketing and educational efforts.

Businesses submitting proposals for small business contracts should also determine whether their business size qualifies as small under the Small Business Administration (SBA) size standards.

Finding Opportunities

The Forecasting and Advance Acquisition Planning System is an online portal where vendors can view anticipated contract actions above $150,000 at FirstNet and other U.S. Department of Commerce bureaus.  FirstNet may also post additional contracting opportunities on FedBizOpps.

Vendors looking to submit an unsolicited proposal should refer to FirstNet’s Guide for Preparing and Submitting Unsolicited Proposals.
