RESTON, Va. – On May 26, 2023, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) renewed the First Responder Network Authority’s (FirstNet Authority) Band 14 spectrum license, in accordance with requirements laid out in the Spectrum Act.
The First Responder Network Authority announced that Joseph M. Wassel has been named Executive Director (CEO) of the FirstNet Authority. He joins the FirstNet Authority after serving in senior executive positions at the Department of Defense, where he oversaw global technology and communications systems during his 34-year career.
